Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has hinted at a potential summer move for Diego Costa amid reports that the striker is set to join Chinese club Tianjian Quanjian.
The 27-year-old forward was seen at an exclusive restaurant in London alongside his agent, Jorge Mendes and a couple of businessmen fuelling talks that the meeting was over a potential move to China. Reports in Independent claims that the Costa has agreed a £25million per season with Tianjian Quanjian.
Antonio Conte has now admitted that he is not sure whether Diego Costa will remain at the Stamford Bridge next season, he said: “I don’t know about Diego – it is very important for every player at Chelsea to be focused on the present.
“Now is more important than the future, to prepare in the right way for these five games.
“I’m not worried about this, I see the players every day and am seeing the right focus with them.
“I have discussed the future with Diego, it is not important now.”
The Spaniard had earlier confirmed to have held talks with his former club Atletico Madrid during the last summer window, and there were reports that Costa wanted to leave Chelse during the last January window following a training ground spat with Antonio Conte.
