John Terry has been ruled out of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Arsenal on Saturday.
The 35-year-old injured his ankle ligaments in the 2-2 draw with Swansea and subsequently missed the
defeat to Liverpool and the win over Leicester City in the EFL Cup.
Terry had returned to training on Monday but Antonio Conte has revealed that the game will come too soon for the centre-back.
‘He is working but he didn’t recover for the game,’ said the Italian.
Conte also revealed that he expects Kurt Zouma to return to first-team training next week.
The 21-year-old hasn’t featured for Chelsea since suffering a knee injury against Manchester United in February.
‘I hope to see him in the training session next week,’ said the Chelsea manager. ‘He’s in good shape.’
