Femi Solar denies rift with Yinka Ayefele

Gospel singer, Femi Solar, is preparing for his new album launch which comes up in April. Solar, who is seen by many gospel music lovers as a protege of Yinka Ayefele owing to his style of music which he patterns after Ayefele, is planning big for the launch with what he called an All-White party affair.

It will be recalled that Ayefele was absent at his last album launch in 2014 after it emerged that the duo had fallen out over irreconcilable differences. Since then, there were reports that Solar and Ayefele don’t see eye to eye. In fact, it was gathered that they avoided each other at public events.
Reacting to the alleged rift, Solar said there was no iota of truth in the news, blaming the seeming fallout on rumour mongers who wanted to destroy his relationship with Ayefele.
“I really would not like to dwell much on this issue. I think some people fed him with unfounded stories about me and he was not really happy about it, but we are together now and nothing can separate us again. He’s more than a boss to me, he’s my big uncle and I respect him a lot. He was absent at my last album launch because he was busy, but I can assure you that he would be at the launch on April 10”, he said.
Speaking about the 13-track album which may feature Fuji star, Pasuma and rapper, Olamide, Solar said preparations had begun and he was putting things in shape so as to have a hitch free event. According to him, a new video from his last album will also be launched on the same day.
Solar said he has been speaking with Pasuma and Olamide on the possibility of working together on the new album.
“Yes, Olamide and I have been talking. I have already met with Pasuma and we have been talking. I will disclose more about that at the appropriate time.
“I am very excited about how far we have gone with the preparations. At first, it appeared as if it would not be possible, but the level we have reached now by the grace of God points to the fact that we have moved ahead. It is going to be a step away from the norm. It is not going to have a semblance of the usual album launch, and I am sure that those who will come will attest to this fact.”
