This is a very lovely post I read today by Lucky Osas Asenoguan (C.E.O Naija Village). A lot of Nigerians complain a lot about Nigeria being bad, Nigeria being terrible... So much hate and bickering, but reading this post made a lot of sense to me. See excerpts below:

No need of celebrating Nigeria's independence? You are 40 years old and you havent achieved nothing but you celebrate your birthday every year but complain when we celebrate Nigeria?
Whatever you say about your country you say to yourself. You can change everything about you, including your religion but you can never change your nationality.
Nigeria is bigger than everyone of us.
A fool will keep complaining for 55years but has not for once done anything for the betterment of this country...
You say you are a graduate and have no job and then use that as an opportunity to insult this great country..... I ask you.... Do those who have jobs have two heads? What about those who are self employed...... do they have two heads?
Shame on you...... because you were taught entrepreneurship in school.
You lazy yourself everyday planning on how to get in between Chiamaka's legs, drink and waste the little money your parents give you and then turn around and curse on the government for your laziness.
You say there is bad water
No food..... No money and I wonder why the banks are always filled with people.
No food but you see thousands of people in shoprite, fast foods and mama put.
If you are that bothered about the few who dont have food, you can at least go and give them food.
OJB was sick the other day and everyone kept pouring blames on wiskid and other musicians for not helping.....what about you the fans? Why didnt you help?
Very easy to put blame on others. You cant feed your family and you blame the government. When you were busy making babies you didnt call Nigeria oh. When you were busy twisting and climbing you didnt call Nigeria.
When you were,"oh yeahing" you didnt call Nigeria..but now that you cant feed your family you turn around and put the blame on Nigeria.
You think say Nigeria send you? Stay there and keep complaining... Complain next year and next two years while your mates keep taking advantage of this great nation."
