The Federal Government has declared Thursday, October 1, 2015, as public holiday in order to mark the Nigeria's 55th Independence anniversary. Abubakar Magaji, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, made the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government via a statement signed by the ministry’s Director of Press, Yusuf Isiaka, on Monday.
While congratulating all Nigerians both home and in the diaspora, the Permanent Secretary also thanked them for their support of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration and its efforts towards building a peaceful, united and virile nation.
